Hope Healing Love

Dear family & friends, Mom has always put others before her own needs. She sacrificed so much raising 2 childred as a single parent. It was espcially challenging doing that as a woman in the 70's.  She has taught us what strength is. She is still showing us her strength & determination.  Since her stage IV cancer diagnosis in July 2011, we've all been on a new journey with her. She's been through so much. And continues to have such challenging times.  Her underlying health issues make the battle even tougher.  She has beaten the odds! She was given an approximated time to live one year. That was almost 5 years ago! Thanks to her strength, God, her medical team, all of us who love her and so much more. 
I have been by her side through this all. Every day. As one would expect, I have used up my leave at work. I have had to take time off work more days than I can count. Thankfully, my work is supportive & FML is in place to maintain my position. But with the leave gone, so many of the days off to care for Mom are "Leave Without Pay".  I do it in a heartbeat. No thought otherwise. MOM FIRST!  But the reality is, the money lost has really added up. And as much as I don't like to think about it, we all rely of our paychecks to pay the rent, bills, groceries, and all the other life expenses. 
Therefore, I'm asking for whatever contributions available to replenish the pay I have lost through these past 4-5 years.  It's not easy to post this. But when I heard of Go Fund Me & saw the other campaigns, I knew our story was very much like so many others.
