Meet Molly. She’s our sweet 7-year-old rescue, a mix of German Shepherd, Chow, and American Pit Bull Terrier. Molly has been a blessing to our family from the very start—she’s gentle with children, loves to cuddle, and has always been our loyal protector.

On July 4th, during a family cookout, we noticed Molly suddenly began limping and wasn’t putting any weight on her leg. After several veterinary visits, we learned that she has a cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) injury—the equivalent of an ACL tear in humans—with possible meniscus involvement.

Now, even simple things are difficult for her. Molly struggles to walk comfortably and requires assistance getting up and down the stairs. It’s heartbreaking to see her unable to enjoy the little things she once loved.

The best treatment for Molly is TPLO surgery (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy), a specialized procedure that stabilizes the knee and allows dogs to walk, run, and play again without pain. Molly is scheduled for surgery on October 1st, and we are doing everything we can to prepare. Unfortunately, the surgery comes at a cost of $6,800.

This has been especially difficult because I’ve been out of work due to my own medical circumstances, making it hard to cover Molly’s urgent medical needs on my own.

Molly means the world to us. She’s been our comfort, our joy, and our protector—and now she needs us. We’re reaching out for help to give her the surgery she deserves.
