A Plea for Help

My performance name as many of you know is Rogue. I’ve been performing for over 35 years & owned the Magic & Funshop for 17 of those years. Last night’s flood destroyed 90% of all my Magic Props (upwards of 25K) & related equipment, that I’ve been accumulating since I opened the shop. My fiancée, 2 year old son & I have also lost most of our clothes & shoes, our beds, sofa bed, all his toys, books, laptops, carpets, dressers, wigs, makeup, pillows, sheets, towels, blankets, pictures of my family & Magic Shop, the animals’ food & one of our beloved doves, Zeus, drowned in the catastrophe. I literally went into 3 feet of sewage water, with outlets all submerged to save our cat, 3 rats, 2 bunnies, 2 beta fish, & 2 doves, but unfortunately, one of the dove’s cages collapsed into the water & when I immediately grabbed it to pull it back up, Zeus was already dead.

At this point, I’m trying to get some donations so we can begin to re-build the wonderful home we once had. We’ve been cleaning & throwing out tons of destroyed property for the last 2 nights. Right now & for the next few days, we’ll be staying in a hotel, using the money we saved for our honeymoon next year, which was supposed to be last year, but got shot down due to COVID.

I don’t even have a suitcase, luggage, speaker, microphone, or enough props at this moment to put on a decent show & I have 4 shows this weekend. Talk about cutting it close! I definitely won’t get much sleep tonight, thinking about all the things I’m gonna need to get & do tomorrow so I can do these shows successfully..
