Missed Honeymoon

Hi, my name is Sam, I’m Oliver’s Aunt.

Today Oliver and Megan be set off, excited for their Honeymoon. They got to the airport, through security, enjoyed a breakfast, then joined the queue to board the plane, only to be told, that Oliver’s Passport, was not valid, although it still had a year left until expiry, but the new rule is it has to have I year from issue, and effectively out of date!

This is something I was unaware of, and I bet lots of others are too.

They were insured, but the insurance will not cover for this, so they are now £3000 out of pocket!

These two are hard working, people who we are rely on in an emergency, and are a wonderful couple just starting out in married life, and this feels like a kick in the teeth for them.

I’m reaching out to anyone who is able to help, to raise the money they have lost, they won’t be able to get the time back, but loosing this amount of money, for them is awful, and very sad.

Can anyone help?
