My name is Angel Cherry, and my husband Charles is a proud Air Force veteran, loving husband and father to our 2 daughters . We’ve been married for many years and have lived in our home for the past decade. We've always paid our mortgage on time and done our best to stay on top of our bills. But lately, life has thrown us one hardship after another.

Charles was recently diagnosed with bladder cancer. He’s already undergone surgery to remove what they could, and he's now going through chemotherapy and radiation five days a week. The treatments are physically exhausting for him, and emotionally overwhelming for our family.

Shortly after his diagnosis, we began falling behind on our mortgage and other bills. Then, our toilet broke—and not long after, our garage door stopped working. At the time, Charles was recovering from surgery and couldn’t physically help, and we simply didn’t have the money for repairs. Then on July 1st, his sister passed away, which added even more emotional strain.

We’re currently living on a fixed income, primarily from Charles’s VA pension. I’m 66 and have had two back surgeries, and Charles is now 75. We’re doing everything we can, but the cost of medical treatment and gas for daily appointments has made things incredibly difficult.

We love our home and want to stay here. We just need a little help to get through this rough patch. Any support during this time would mean the world to our family
