My name is Cassidy Heyman and I made this go fund me page for my dad, Mark. He got diagnosed with congestive heart failure back in January of 2009. He's had 4 different difibulators taken in and out of his chest  and back in April of 2016 he had an L-VAD placed in his chest.  A left ventricular assist device, or LVAD, is a mechanical pump that is implanted inside a person's chest to help a weakened heart pump blood.  So today February 2nd, 2017 at 6 AM my dad got the call that they had a heart for him in Austin.  He was on the heart transplant list for 3 weeks listed as an A-1 which is top of the list. Although this is the beginning of a new life and a new journey we have a long road of recovery. We are using the same go find me page as the first surgery because that is what is easiest, but a majority of the funds listest we're used during the last surgery. Every donation will help us a long the way. As far as medical bills, helping to care for the caregiver and family we will need all the help we can get. Thank you.
