On July 30th, 2021 Maira Cartaya was sitting at home and received a phone call that every mother dreads. Her daughter, Kimberly Deleon had been hit by a car and didn’t make it. Kimberly was 27 years old and would have turned 28 years old on August 24 of 2021. She had so much life to live but lived every moment of her life to the fullest and to know Kim was to love her. We are making this go fund me asking our community to support this family during a very difficult time. No amount is too small & anything helps. This was a sudden & unexpected tragedy. Efforts are being made to catch the Individual responsible for Kimberly's death. Helping to take some of the burden off of the family is the primary goal for this.
