On Monday, February 7, Brian lost everything when a neighboring apartment caught on fire at 4 a.m. and destroyed the entire building and others surrounding it by 8 a.m. He was able to escape the building, but only with a bag of shirts and socks. He has lost everything. A lover of anthropology and rare collectables, the emotional loss of such curated personal belongings is forlorn. While these items are irreplaceable, the need to find a place to live and purchase basic furnishings is immediate.
