Thank you so much for all of the support you have shown my family . Chris remains in ICU.(12 days so far ) He’s had some more complications due to aspirating and the accident, but prayerfully hoping he is on the mend. I’ve not left his side and have slept at the hospital every single night. It’s been a journey in itself to transition out of the marines. Chris finally got an apprenticeship with the Mountain states to be a lineman. I received a call today and had to ask for an extension for a year due to his injuries and lots of psychical therapy. Being a military wife, I am very prideful and Independent, so it is hard for me to humble myself to even accept help. From the bottom of my heart , I thank you all and will update you as he continues to heal. With love,

-My name is Cody Ryan and on behalf of the individuals on our Special Operations Team we are starting this fundraiser for a close friend, husband, father of four and former SOF Operator we deployed with to the Middle East.

Chris and his family were traveling and hydroplaned causing a serious accident. Luckily his wife Jenni and son came out with minimal injuries. Chris was not so lucky!

Chris is currently in surgery to repair his right foot and will go back to surgery in the near future for his left hand and his 7 broken ribs. He also has facial fractures and lacerations. After his first surgery he remained intubated as his lung collapsed during the operation due to trauma from the accident. The doctors tried taking him off the ventilator this morning but his arterial oxygen levels were not where they needed to be. He's currently responsive by hand squeezing and looking around but can't speak.

As former military members may know, the transition back to civilian life can be stressful. Unfortunately Chris accidently started his transition to civilian life in worst case scenario.
