APS Fundraiser
Donation protected
APS (antiphospholipid syndrome) is an autoimmune condition. This means your immune system, which usually protects you from disease and infection, is attacking healthy parts of your body with harmful antibodies.
APS is a major cause of strokes in people under the age of 50. Unfortunately, it’s often only diagnosed after a person has had a number of miscarriages, or blood clots in their arteries, veins or brain.
Unfortunately this is what caused my dear son Dominic to pass and is something that I now know I have to live with. (It is an autoimmune disease that has no cure) It has been a very rough year for me knowing that if enough testing was done and these simple bloodwork exams were done, my son would be turning a year old on May 23rd. I never thought I would experience the loss of a child and it has been hard for me to talk about. However after doing extensive research and consistently finding that this disease has been overlooked, I have decided to raise money for more education and to donate the proceeds to the APS foundation. Knowing what I know now could of saved my son's life and with your help we can really make a difference.
We will also be holding a charity event if anyone is interested (potentially in August) in being part of this great cause! This is something that is near and dear to my heart and losing my first born son to this has really changed my prospective on life and how we really need to help others. If I can save another babies life or even an individual that has this condition and doesn't even know, I would consider that a win. Tickets are $125 per person and we are looking for donations in anyway you can assist!
If you are unable to attend the event we ask to please make a donation as every little bit helps! If we raise enough money I was even thinking of opening up my own charity as the APS foundation seems to be the only one currently available.
I appreciate in advance your love and support and I really hope we can make a difference!
