Raising Funds for School Uniforms and Backpacks

Hello,

I'm Tanvi Samayam, a senior at Hillsborough High School, and the founder of MPowerKids, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting underprivileged children in their educational pursuits. Recently, I conducted a book drive that resulted in the collection of over 2000 books, which were subsequently donated to Washington Elementary School in Trenton, NJ.

I am reaching out today because Washington Elementary School has approached me with a new request. They are in need of state-mandated uniforms for approximately 320 children attending the school. Unfortunately, they have been able to secure only a limited number of uniforms and backpacks thus far. For more details, please refer to the attached letter from the school.

Given the scale of this endeavor, I have enlisted the assistance of my friends, Taylor Sieg, who is also a senior at Kent Place School, and Sourya Beesabathuni a Senior at Ellington High School. Together, we are actively exploring options to procure uniforms and backpacks from wholesale suppliers. Our preliminary estimates indicate that we need to raise approximately $7,500 to fulfill this need.

Any support or assistance you can provide would be immensely appreciated. Your contribution will directly impact the lives of these children and ensure that they have the necessary resources to thrive in their educational journey.
