This is my daughter, Sherry. She is 57 years old and has had a long running bout of hardships in the past 5 years. Starting with a divorce and a succession of back injuries after she'd already had 2 surgeries, left her immobile for over a year, she then suffered a crippling injury to her Achille's tendon which made it very difficult for her to walk or stand for also well over a year. As a result of her back injuries, her right foot is partially numb and because she could not feel a step properly, she fell down a flight of stairs and broke her right ankle. All of the injuries occurred after she no longer had insurance. Sherry has gotten relief through the State of Oregon with insurance and food benefits and she is finally receiving SSI however, the income is quite minimal and offers her no ability to save. Sherry recently found that she will need to find another place to live as her long-time roommate is relocating. She has until May 1st to find a place for she and her old doggy Diesel to live. There is simply no way she can move without financial assistance. Our family is helping out as much as we are able. We are hoping Sherry's friends can also reach out and give her a hand up, if not monetarily, by simply sharing or passing this information along to your friends and family. Thank you so much!
