Sophia got a heart transplant when she was four months old. She has been on amuno suppresson medication for her transplant. Because of the medications she has now developed cancer. Her type of cancer is called post transplant lymphatic disorder or PTLD. At the moment she is paralyzed until they can get her airway open enough to remove the breathing tube.  We have been on a seven year journey full of love, tears, joy and fear. We don’t know what the outcome will be. She is strong and smart. With the fight and potential to help the world someday.
