Grace & Abigail take on TOUGH MUDDER
Small charities worldwide have been severely impacted by COVID-19 due to not being able to hold traditional fundraising events for an extended period of time, Umoja being one of them.
If you know either of us, you know that it's not often we partake in any activity which will mess up our hair, nails, lashes...etc. Nevertheless, we wanted to push the boundaries further than our usual 'Sleep on the Streets' fundraiser and have decided to take on Tough Mudder! We are aiming to raise two thousand much needed pounds, for a charity close to both of our hearts.
Umoja works tirelessly to save as many homeless boys as possible from surviving on the streets, where they experience extreme hunger, sickness, abuse and police brutality. Umoja offers them vital rehabilitation and a chance to live as safe, happy children. Umoja then reunites children with loving families, or failing that, becomes their family and sends them to school as they continue to work hard to find a more sustainable solution.
The money that we raise will go towards two things in particular Umoja is struggling to afford at the moment:
- 12 new bunk beds and mattresses (needed due to a serious bed bug infestation)
- School fees
Thank you so much for your support!
