Lucy was Theo and Finny's nanny, spending nearly every day with them for the last two years. One of the kindest, most patient, wonderful women we have ever known, they were extremely close; she was like family to Jen and the boys.
Understandably so, she has not been able to find or go back to work since the accident. Lucy also helps support her family, so the loss of work has been especially detrimental financially.
This fund will help compensate for the loss of wages, as well as give her some breathing room to allow her to fully heal before beginning the process of finding a new family to work with.
As an aside, if you know of a family looking for a nanny (full or part time), she comes highly recommended with other references that can be provided.
