James' Medical & Family Support

James Threadgill has dedicated his life to helping others as a Firefighter. He has worked in several communities from coast to coast responding and helping those in a time of need.
James, Jessica, and their two daughters Isabelle (3) and Eleanor (6 months) are now in need of support and prayers as James is faced with a life altering medical complication.
In December 2015, James had to have his big toe on his right foot amputated due to a persistent infection. With limited vacation time, his department stepped up and donated time off to allow the healing process to begin. James returned to work, but continued to struggle with a wound that was not completely healed.
A Couple weeks ago James became sick with flu like symptoms. His Doctor became concerned the medication he was on was making him sick and was taken off to see if that would help. James and Jessica closely watched his foot for any signs of infection. His foot appeared to be healing, but he still felt very sick. On March 29, 2016, they returned to the hospital when signs of infection appeared on his foot. On March 30, 2016, James had his right leg amputated just below the knee due to this infection.
His service as a firefighter is coming to an end and his energy must now be focused on healing and rehabilitation. Jessica has been spending long hours at work (as a teacher and coach) and the hospital; all while trying to maintain a normal life for their daughters.
As James and his family move forward in the recovery process, medical bills and additional expenses will be coming in. Any support will be greatly appreciated by the Threadgill family.
