Hi, my name is Katie, and I am raising funds for my beautiful friend and colleague, Emma, who has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer.

Emma is just 34 years old and a devoted mum to her two gorgeous daughters, Florence (8) and Lily (1), and a loving wife to her husband, Mike. She is also a dedicated NHS midwife who works tirelessly to care for women and families during some of the most important moments of their lives.

Following her diagnosis, Emma is now facing an intensive and lengthy treatment plan that includes chemotherapy, surgery, and radiotherapy. Sadly, this means she will be unable to work for at least 12 months, placing a significant financial strain on her young family at an already incredibly difficult time.

This GoFundMe page has been set up to help relieve some of that pressure, allowing Emma to focus on what matters most — her treatment, recovery, and time with her family — without the added worry of financial stress.

As Emma’s colleagues, we will also be adding funds raised through local fundraising events within Macclesfield Maternity, including bake sales and other initiatives.
