Last night, our hearts were shattered by the sudden and tragic loss of my brother, Antonio Brown (Tonio / Tone), in North Carolina. Our family is still in shock, trying to come to terms with a loss that feels impossible to understand.

Our greatest wish right now is to bring Antonio home to Columbus, Georgia, where he belongs. This is where most of our family is, and where our mother is laid to rest. We want to honor him by laying him to rest near her, surrounded by the love of his family.

Antonio, known to many as Tonio or Tone, was an all-around person—talented in so many ways. From sports to academics, art, music, dancing, and even the streets, he carried a presence that couldn’t be ignored. He was a fighter in every sense—both physically and mentally—and he faced life head-on. After our mother passed, things took a turn, and he was never quite the same, but even through that, he kept going in his own way.

He was the kind of person who made sure everyone around him was good—he made sure the whole team ate. He stood on loyalty and respect, and those who knew him understood exactly what he represented. More than anything, the love he had for his children, family and friends was real, deep, and pure.

Because this loss was so unexpected, we are facing significant financial challenges. We are asking for help to cover the costs of transporting him home, funeral services, and a headstone so he can be properly remembered and honored.

One of the most important and emotional parts of this is making sure all of his children can be there. We have never had the chance to meet two of his kids, and this will be the first time our family comes together with them—under heartbreaking circumstances. It means everything to us that his children are able to attend, grieve with us, and say goodbye to their father surrounded by family.

Antonio was deeply loved, and his loss leaves a hole in our hearts that can never be filled. We want to give him the farewell he deserves and bring his family together in this time of grief.
