As some of you may know, my brother Patrick was in a horrible car accident on Sunday, November 3rd. Patrick was life flighted to the nearest trauma center and was given a 10% chance to live. Since then, Patrick has truly defied the odds. Thankfully after many surgeries to repair and replace his hip and femur, he is expected to make a full recovery. Through it all, Patrick has maintained a positive and upbeat attitude.

This holiday season my family and I are especially lucky to have Patrick with us. Everyone is considering his full recovery a miracle. While we are extremely lucky, Patrick did not have health insurance at the time of the accident and will be faced with an overwhelming amount of hospital bills in the months to come. In addition to donating monetary funds, we also ask that you give blood. Patrick received almost 8 units of blood upon his arrival to the trauma center which undoubtedly helped save his life.
