Metastatic Breast Cancer.
When five years ago Tatiana found a lump, she thought it was not a big deal, as she was tested a year ago and everything was fine. This time the news left her speechless. It was cancer, breast cancer and it was aggressive. At 42, this did not seem fair. Not knowing anything about life saving therapies at cancer centers, she went for surgery.
Recovery was not easy. Soon after surgery, with the help of friends, she found out about treatment options in different clinics. Treatments there are quite expensive though, or in many cases simply not affordable. She became a patient in Cancer Center for Healing in Irvine, CA, but she was not able to proceed with treatments because of their high cost.
When she got several thousand dollars together it was only enough to do a couple of tests and infusions.
For next several years she was struggling to continue with treatments because of the cost and living expenses during stay. That is why she never got fully treated because she could not afford it. She is single.Her immediate family living in another country and not able to help her financially.
She was doing everything possible, trying to live a healthy lifestyle, exercising, changing diet and taking necessary supplements and medications. But that was not enough. So, when in 2018 she found another lump, she felt like there was not many choices for her but do another surgery. Second surgery in 2019 left her with post-surgical complications and missing 25 lymph nodes. However, surgeries do not stop cancer from spreading. Only several months after surgery in2019 new lymph nodes appeared that were not benign. There are also different spots affected, so cancer did advance.
She is now asking for help to get treated. She is been constantly searching for any programs that could help financially, but so far, the response was not reassuring, and she was denied everywhere. She is currently undergoing treatments with the partner clinic at Cancer Center for Healing, but was forced to stop as she was not able to pay anymore.
The treatment is $70,000 without living expenses. She is doing all that she can, but she cannot do it alone. Please help!
