On February 20th, June completely ruptured her CCL (the dog equivalent to a human ACL) and needs an expensive surgery called TPLO so she can walk again.
I got June when she was just 6 weeks old, malnourished, with her umbilical cord scab still attached. She was found all alone in a bush crying and weighing only 6 pounds. I wasn’t sure if she was going to live. Since that day 3 years ago, she has been my shadow.
Through lots of love and care she quickly grew into a 60-pound, rambunctious teenager. But, due to her early trauma, she suffered from severe anxiety. She was put on trazodone and through lots of training (and more love) she has settled wonderfully into adulthood, unmedicated.
She’s my best friend, cuddle buddy, and has taught me so much about perseverance. I am so proud of everything she has overcome. That is why I am confident she can overcome her newest challenge.
The cost includes all the medication, post op visits, and time I will have to take off work to care for her. As a part-time nanny and student, I can’t afford to get her the care she needs, as quickly as she needs it. I don’t want to see her go through any more pain! That’s why I am asking for help to pay for June’s care.
Every share and every dollar helps and any extra money will be donated to Angel City Pit Bulls. I can’t thank you enough.
