In Memory of Kevin Abrams

Kevin Abrams beloved son, brother, friend, and most important father, died in a tragic automobile accident Saturday June 22nd, 2019.  That morning was one of Kevin’s happiest moments of his life as he was taking his oldest child, Sarah, to start her first semester of college. What began as one of the most joyous events any parent can have for their children, ended in tragedy as he was involved in a single fatal car accident on his way home shortly after leaving.

He is survived by his two children, father, mother, brother, sister in law, nephews, and countless friends who knew him as “Abrams”, “Lefty”, “Tilt”, “Muppet”, and  “Big Cuzzy”.  “Many hands make light the work" and it is our hope that through the generosity of many,  we can raise funds to cover unexpected expenses the family and children may face in the future.  We will miss you sorely Abrams!  You truly made the world a better place!  Below are heartfelt words from his loving Family.

Kevin was born May 4, 1977 in Port Jefferson, NY.  He moved to Florida with his father as a young child.  Growing up he loved playing baseball and was a talented pitcher.  He grew to love most sports, and in recent years had a huge passion for golf.  However, I can’t use the word passion and not immediately jump to his children.  Our daughter, Sarah, and son, Zack, were the true loves of his life.  A common theme I’m hearing from many people is the emotion he would express when speaking of them.

When Sarah was born 18 years ago, she was instantly the light of his life.  They were each other’s best friend and anyone who knew them can attest to that.  He was beaming with pride when she was accepted to UCF, and got to kiss her goodbye as she set off to begin her journey.

Our son Zack was born in 2004 and completed our family.  Kevin enjoyed spending time with our children going to the beach, pool, and making his delicious meals for them.  He was beyond compare when talking about the love for his family and friends.

He was a guy that could be described as “everybody’s best friend”.   Kevin had many different circles of friends, all who will miss him greatly.  He will be truly missed, but always present in our hearts.
