Jeff's Extended Warranty or Kick Cancer's Butt

My Dad, Jeffrey drove himself to the hospital at 3:30 in the morning on Thursday, March 5th, 2021. He had sharp pain on the left side, neck pain, shoulder pain, and feeling very sick. After he arrived, doctor's also stated he was in AFIB. They started with antibiotics, scans, and fluids. In November, his primary care doctor had done blood work, but only shared the results on March 3rd. It turns out, he has Type 2 Diabetes.  On Friday night, his doctors declared that the antibiotics were not working and they saw a mass on his scans. It was decided to do emergency surgery for diverticulitis. After the 5 hour surgery, the surgeon called Lois (his mom) and Betty (his fiancé) at 1 in the morning on Saturday to say the mass was being biopsied. Following the surgery, he spent 3 days in the icu on a ventilater before being moved to the heart and surgical floor, where he is now. After this, the news kept coming that the mass had attached and been adjacent to his colon, intestines, and appendix (which was removed during surgery). So, it was never diverticulitis. It was always the cancer. Further scans indicated that his liver had spots and also needed to be biopsied. The cancer metastatisized. His white count has very slowly improved over the past couple of days, but the news about the biopsies was disheartening.  It is Invasive Colon Adenocarcinoma. Without treatment, my dad was told he'd have a poor prognosis of 6 months. With treatment, 2 years. His goal is to prove the doctors wrong and live for at least another 10+ years. He is still in the hospital and will be for a while until he gets some strength back. He is weak, but fighting with all kinds of medications,  therapies, and of course, his quirky sense of humor. He will need extensive inpatient physical therapy even after he is released from his current floor. The goal is to get him strong enough to go home and kicking cancer's butt for as long as possible. He will need further therapies and cancer treatments. There are many questions left unanswered at this time. The primary goal is to get as strong as possible and go from there. He has been my Grandma's primary care taker for years now. From making her meals, helping around the house, taking her to her medical and personal appointments, to making her smile, he does a lot. Now, we can do somethimg for him.  Loss of income, hospital bills, doctor bills, physical therapy, medical supplies, future home health care, medications, and treatments are already leaving a huge stack of bills to be paid with more to come.
Any help and/or well wishes are more than appreciated!
