Hi! We are a group of 13 high school students from Northern Highlands Regional High school raising money for an organization called Heart for Africa.
Over 50% of Eswatini’s total population, adding up to more than 200,000 children, are orphaned. The mission at Project Canaan is to care for these children, fight hunger, decrease poverty and provide education. Project Canaan receives a new child on average every 12 days.
We hope to raise money for the home at Project Canaan in Eswatini, and 100% of funds will go directly to all 357 children in the orphanage.
The monthly cost of care for one child is $225, which includes diapers, formula, food, clothing, medical care, dayshift and nightshift caregivers, and lots of love. It’s hard to imagine that ALL of that can happen for only $225 per month! While we know that it takes $225 to fully provide for all the things a child needs we have been able to break it down a different way.
THE BREAKDOWN:
$30 Provides primary medical care for one child for one month.
$50 Provides formula for our 35+ babies age 6-18 months
$100 Provides for one night-shift auntie to care for our children
$225 Provides the total cost of care for one child for one month
Please consider a donation to help these children feel the love. Every dollar counts. We thank you!
