Zeke needs your help!! I am Dru, for those of you that don’t know me, I am AJ’s Best friend/sister and AJ needs your help. If you have ever met Zeke (and you have if you know AJ or Noresa), you know he’s the dog that greets everyone with a wagging tail or wiggling butt, who never misses a chance to comfort someone who need it and who has been AJ’s loyal companion through every high and low moment in her life, since she was 16 (he is 8 years old). He is the dog that has helped her raise her kids, the dog who brings you his favorite toy when you’re sad, is the best snack police K-9 and who believes every stranger is just a friend he hasn’t met yet. He has had two CCL surgeries when he was young but other than that he has been a healthy boy. On Saturday we took Zeke to Med Vet in Columbus after he collapsed on the floor and couldn’t get up. This is his 3rd episode in the last few months and after numerous vet visits between two vets, we did not know what was causing these episodes until the ER visit to Med Vet. We found out he will need spinal surgery, whether it is to remove a spinal tumor or because he has IVDD won’t be confirmed until Tuesday when he goes back to Med Vet for an MRI. This alone is going to cost between $6000-$7000 on top of another $6000-$8000 for the surgery. Surgery is this guys best option at being able to continue to live out his best days.
