It is with the most heaviest and shattered of hearts that I share this story about my best friend.  After being in labor for 3 long  weeks, Carli gave birth to her beautiful baby boy at 30 weeks along on 12.27.14.  Jake was doing well the first few days, but then developed an infection, he beat the infection but it led to acute liver failure and then his body had to fight another infection. The six weeks that followed, Jake fought hard to remain here but being a preemie- his immune system just didn't have enough power to keep up the fight. The six weeks of his life were spent in 3 different hospitals- the last being  Mt. Sinai in NYC.  Jake never got to see his home or the room his parents decorated for him. Heaven wrapped it's arms around Jake on Saturday 2.7.15.  In those six weeks, he changed the lives of everyone who loved him. This fund is for his parents- Sal & Carli.  2 days after his passing, they are already receiving medical bills and due to the circumstances, both were working very little, if any days, which has caused some bills to pile up.  Be it only $1 - every little bit will help them along.  Thank you in advance for your generosity.
