Hoover Middle School Field trip

I work at Hoover Middle School in Taylor MI.  We have an amazing group of staff and students.  What we don't have is money!  In the past we have been able to send each student on one field trip a year.  This year we are out of funds.  We are a school district in a deficit.  If we charged each student for their share of the cost, we would not have many, if any, students able to attend.  We are tossing around a few ideas for free trips, DIA, Heidelberg Project, tour of a professional sports stadium, etc.  We would like to make this a two part trip where we take the students to Gleaners or another food bank and have the kids give of their time to help others, kind of a pay it forward!  We just need funding for transportation to take all of our 520 students.  We do not have enough parent involvement or parents with cars.  These kids need to know that they matter and are deserving of everything that the districts down the road are offered!
