"We are the most killed breed of dog in California. It is not because we did something wrong or do not like people; we love to give kisses and want to be part of someone's family.  The reason is because there are too many of us in California and there are not enough people adopting us to save our lives."

But in the New York area, Chihuahuas are so wanted. Hundreds were flown on Wings of Rescue’s planes in December and all of them are already in their new homes.  The 161 that were flown on Feb. 5th will be cuddled on Park Avenue by Valentine’s Day.

There are so many more that are waiting to fly to safety.  It only takes $50 to buy them a ticket for the rest of their lives.
