My name is Elena Vedernikov and I opened this campaign to collect financial help for Lyudmila’s funeral. It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our dear friend Lyudmila. Lyudmila was found unresponsive by her 8 year old son Memphis early Sunday morning. Her death was very unexpected and has sent a wave of shock, and sadness among her friends and community.

Lyudmila was best known for her contagious smile. She was a kind, positive, and easy going person who had a great personality. Lyudmila was a single parent and her eight- year- old son was the center of her world. Despite losing Memphis’s father several years ago, having no family in the United States, and struggling as a single parent— she never complained. Instead, Lyudmila looked at life with optimism, and brought joy every where she went. Lyudmila worked hard to provide a better life for her self, and her son Memphis. It is for this reason we are reaching out and asking for financial help. Being a single parent, Lyudmila worked hard to cover basic living expenses and needs, and did not have any savings to her name. As her friends, we want to give her a proper burial. If you feel it in your heart to help, we would appreciate any financial contribution to cover funeral costs. All proceeds will go directly toward Lyudmila’s funeral expenses, and anything extra will be used toward her son Memphis. He is currently in the care of a family friend, but since he has no immediate family here, his future is still unknown.
