We are the Zeiglers, a travel family that lives in a motorhome fulltime, and have recently suffered one of the biggest scares of RV living.

Our 14 month old daughter pulled the kettle over on herself while we were boiling water and is extensively burned. She is admitted to a specialty pediatric burn unit and possibly going to have to undergo surgery this upcoming week. We are trying to figure out what options we have to take time off from work but are scared of being short the income we need because we have been told this hospital stay could last 3+ weeks. Not to mention, Lyra's three year old brother, is having a difficult time understanding what is happening and we are hundreds of miles away from any family or friends, most of whom have just been slammed by the hurricane in the southeast.

Thankfully we have managed to get a support person here by flight to help us with our toddler. That has been our first major expense that these donations can help cover at close to 1000 dollars for a roundtrip ticket. Due to the hurricane wiping out most of the major interstates between us and home, flight was our only option. We will also both be out of work for the coming two to three weeks which results in a loss of combined income of nearly $7,000 which we will need to help us cover our regular bills as well as possibly some of the medical bills. And the biggest ever looming cloud over our heads right now is what this stay will cost us being in a specialty unit with a possibility of surgery.

We are devastated and don't know where to turn so we hope we can relieve some of our stress by receiving some donations to help us cover the upcoming medical expenses and allow us the time we need to help our family recover.
