Lyonell’s Road to Recovery And Help To Save His House.

Hello Everyone,

I’m writing this on behalf of a good friend, Lyonell Davis, whom I have known for over 20 years. We worked together at the Sheriff’s Department alongside a great group of guys known as the SORT team.

Lyonell is a big, strong guy who would out bench-press any of his SORT teammates. He played college football before his law enforcement career. He has an adult aged daughter who he cherishes and speaks of often. I have always known him to be a man of integrity and honor. Lyonell is truly a gentle giant with a huge heart, and would give you the shirt off of his back if needed. But now Lyonell needs our help.

Back in early 2018, Lyonell suffered a stroke while driving home from work. If it weren’t for the quick actions of a motorist who noticed something was wrong and called an ambulance, Lyonell most likely wouldn’t be with us today.

The stroke caused Lyonell to lose complete use of the left side of his body. Since then, he has undergone treatments and therapies, with little-to-no improvement and still no mobility. He has since since had to retire early from work due to this disability.

To make matters worse, Lyonell was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. Although it was caught early in the beginning stages, it’s not something he should have to deal with in his present condition. Despite all of this, Lyonell remains positive and optimistic.

Aside from the medical issues, Lyonell has also accumulated some debt as a result of his inability to work. Right now, his main concern is not losing his house for past due taxes. Lyonell does not need this added worry and stress while trying to recover.

Friends, family, and fellow SORT Brothers, I am asking for your help to relieve some of the burden for Lyonell. For those of you that don’t know him well, he is a very humble person who has finally asked for help with this effort. The IRS has given him a deadline of the end of this year before they take action against his home, so time is of the essence. We don’t want him to lose his house. This could happen to any one of us at any time, so please consider helping Lyonell with whatever you can to help relieve this burden on him. Every little bit adds up and greatly helps. Any assistance will definitely let Lyonell know that he is not alone in his struggle.

Thank you. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you and your families.
