Lynsey is in need of surgery after living through more than most dogs ever should. When Lynsey was a puppy in Texas, she was hit by a car. Her pelvis was crushed, her legs were broken, and she could not walk. White Paws German Shepherd Rescue took her in, but before she could be brought north, her injuries had already healed incorrectly.

Even after all of that trauma, Lynsey did not let it stop her. She has been with her foster mom for 3 years, plays with the other foster puppies that come through rescue, and has become a certified therapy dog who loves to visit everyone. Her back end has been affected ever since, but a specialist agreed to leave things alone until there were problems.

Now those problems are here. Lynsey’s left leg is causing pain, and it does not move like it used to. She is no longer able to run around the yard with her foster siblings right now. She needs surgery to remove the head of her femur, which had broken off and fused itself to pieces of her pelvis.

WVRC has provided an estimate of up to $5,777 for everything involved in this surgery. The funds raised here will go directly toward Lynsey’s surgery to help her regain mobility without pain.
