Hi everyone,

My name is Owen, and I’m fundraising to help cover the funeral costs and flowers for my mum’s passing. Writing this doesn’t even feel real. Losing her has shattered our world, and I’m just trying to give her the beautiful, peaceful goodbye she deserves.

My mum wasn’t just a parent — she was the heart of our family. She tried her absolute best every single day, even when life was hard. She gave her two boys a life filled with love, memories, and moments we’ll carry for the rest of our lives. She was a good mum. She cared. She loved. And she never stopped fighting for us.

My little brother was her shadow when he was younger. He never left her side. They were so close, always talking, always connected in a way only a mum and her youngest can be. Seeing him go through this heartbreak is one of the hardest things I’ve ever faced. I’m doing everything I can to be strong for him, because that’s what she would want — for us to look after each other.

I also hold onto the thought that she’s not alone now. I believe my papa and gran — her mum and dad — are waiting for her with open arms, ready to hold her again. That brings me a little bit of comfort in all this pain.
