For all who know Lynn, we all know she is so much more than an amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend; Lynn is the one that lights up the room, makes you smile, would give you the shirt off her back, warms your heart, makes you want to be a better person while making it all look so easy. Lynn, Todd (her husband of 9 years) and their two beautiful daughters Anna (7 years) and Pippa (4 years) had taken a family trip to Colorado in July 2017; when they got home, Lynn had some tests done and that is when they received the devastating news that Lynn was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Cancer. Nobody could believe how something so horrible could happen to such an amazing woman and family. We often replay the thought in our minds of “why?” This turned Lynn and her family’s world upside down. But if you know Lynn, you know she’s a fighter. After six intense months of chemotherapy, Lynn and her family were told that Lynn was in remission. After three months of trying to get back to some form of normalcy, Lynn and the family received the heart breaking news that the cancer had returned. These upcoming months of chemotherapy will be debilitating to the family as Lynn will be admitted for three days into Roswell Park Cancer Institute to receive three different intense chemotherapies. After the third chemo treatment, Lynn will be admitted back into Roswell Park Cancer Institute for four to six weeks for a bone marrow transplant. She will be isolated from her family and friends during that time to allow her body to build itself back up. After her discharge she will begin the long in-home recovery, to allow her body to slowly build her immunity.
All of the chemotherapy treatments, extensive prescriptions, numerous procedures, Lynn’s inability to work since her 2017 diagnosis (and disability running out in January), Todd’s upcoming 2 month, partial paid, family medical leave of absence to care for his family, is starting to put a financial strain on this young and loving family. Lynn, Todd, Anna and Pippa deserve the world and we would greatly appreciate any monetary donations to help defray their expenses. There are so many emotions that Lynn, Todd, Anna and Pippa are going through that some of us and hopefully none of us, will ever have to go through in our lives. The financial stress and burden that accompany a family fighting cancer is overwhelming. Please help keep the hope and strength alive for this family. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your thoughts, prayers and generous donations.
