Lynn’s Battle
Praying for a miracle
~Please everyone share this~
Dear friends and family of Jerry Lynn Ellzey. Jr.
First we want to thank you for your love and prayers. They mean the world to us.
My name is Becky Lambert. On May 6, 2016, as many of you may already know, my brother Lynn was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic colon cancer. Those of you who know Lynn, know that he has always been active and healthy. Lynn has always been a hard worker and provider for his family. This has hit the family very hard and they need your help. Lynn has been unable to work since his diagnosis. He has been approved for disability, but it will not take effect until Dec 28 and it is not retroactive. I’ve set up this page to help with any expenses for Lynn and his family while he fights this battle. He has been under an extreme amount of stress due to the cancer treatment and his inability to work, so we want to help ease the burden in any way we can.
Lynn receives chemo at the doctor’s office for approximately four hours every two weeks. He is then sent home with a pump attached to his port and a fanny pack with machine and medication, continuing chemo for a total of three days. On the third day, he has to go back to get the pump removed.
Lynn faces a long and rough road ahead, and we are trying to stay positive. Since he is unable to work, he is no longer provided with insurance from his job, so he is now paying for it out of pocket. He is at risk of losing his medical insurance, which would make treatments impossible to afford. All of these financial strains make it difficult to pay bills, and he runs the risk of losing everything that he has worked his whole life for.
Lynn is a great husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He and his wife Cindy have been married for 31 years, and he is the father of 3 children. Lynn has a grandson named Conner who is two years old and the family just welcomed Lyla Rose, his second grandchild. Lynn would do anything for the people he loves and I am hoping we can do the same for him.
Please send prayers and positive thoughts.
A donation of any amount is greatly appreciated.
