Lynn’s Brain Tumor Fight
Donation protected
On Monday 6/4/18 while getting ready to take my brother to work, my dad suffered a massive seizure. My brother was able to call 911 and he was taken to the hospital where the doctors discovered a tumor on his brain. The positive news is that they believe it is a meningioma tumor which in most cases are benign, but we won’t know until he has brain surgery on Monday, 6/11/18, to remove it. The surgery will be rough as the tumor is slightly bigger than a golf ball and is in the front of his brain behind his eyes and nose. The surgeon is optimistic that it can be completely removed, however his recovery will be extensive and lengthy. My dad will be in ICU for at least 10 days and then will need to be in a rehab facility while he recovers. Once he has fully healed, he will be restricted from driving a car for a minimum of 6 months due to the initial seizure. To make things a little worse, my dad lost his job recently and has been actively pursuing employment. Not being able to drive for 6 months will negatively affect his ability to find a job. The money that is raised will help to cover his monthly bills including rent, groceries, and future medical bills. My family and I appreciate any help that is given.
