Mom Needs Help

My Mom, Lynn, was a Single Mother of 5 from the time I was 11 yrs. Old on. She worked a full time job and ran a paper route from 3am to 7am every morning in order to keep us afloat. She had a full time position before that and also used to make crafts to sell so we would always have Christmas and Birthdays. She was always very wise and very strict on us so when I grew older I found myself hoping that I would be as strong and wise as she is. For over two years now she has been extremely sick. She tried to keep working but she just can't hold a job with how much pain and discomfort she has been in. We have been to several Doctors now and she has had surgery after surgery over the past 23 years dealing with her illness. Now, she has her illness along with Cronic Cystitis, bladder prolapse, a Hyatial Hernia, a fracture in her spine, and Degenerative Disc Disease. She has always been very smart financially so she has been able to live the past two years and more being sick and surviving financially. February we put her house on the market so with little help from my sister and I ...and some other family members, she made it a few more months. Now the money is gone and everywhere we turn she is being denied help or proper medical care and it's at the end of the rope here. She has several surgeries lined up for the next six months or more just to fix all these issues. Some days she has a lot of energy but then her illness will set in and she can't move or go 5 minutes without running to the bathroom. This can go on for up to 3 or 4 months at a time, all day long, everyday. She is in debt right now and she was denied Social Security twice and we are going through a lawyer and they said it could be another year or longer before anything happens. I'm afraid because we don't have that long. She is about to lose her home because it hasn't sold and there is nothing we can do but ask for help. I know I put a high amount on here because with the surgeries and the bills being charged on credit the past few months, by the time this is all over with, she will need that much money. I think because she has successfully taken care of us our entire lives, if this is a way that I can help her then I have to atleast try. THANK YOU for taking the time to read this and please keep your fingers crossed for us! Have a blessed day! -Colleen W.
