Doing what so many of you have encouraged, and setting up a small fundraiser to help me get home and back on my feet.

I badly broke my leg in late June and have now been in the hospital for four full months. This latest setback came after nearly five years of major health battles — surgeries, infections, kidney failure, and now a long rehab — each one taking more time, savings, energy, and hope to recover from. As a self-employed, single person, the financial and physical toll has been immense.

It’s been nearly five years of cascading health crises, including:

• A kidney infection that caused a near-fatal episode of sepsis in May 2020, leaving permanent damage to my kidneys, pancreas, and nervous system.

• Diagnosis and treatment of uterine adenocarcinoma — six surgeries between 2022–2024, plus eight months of wound-vac therapy to close a major abdominal infection.

• Complete renal failure, now requiring dialysis three times a week (five hours per session) until I can receive a kidney transplant.

• A bad fall in June that fractured my right knee, ankle, and foot — and several bones in my left foot.

• A COVID infection and pneumonia in October that delayed my discharge and extended this latest hospital stay.

Now, as I prepare to finally leave the hospital and move into my new apartment, I’m trying to rebuild a basic foundation — enough stability to heal, work, and live with some peace.
