My name is Lynnette.
I am married and have 3 children and a dog.
My passion is the outdoors. Winter is my favorite month.
I have been super healthy and active my entire life.
Then October 2016 happened.
I became severely ill and was diagnosed with a disease I could barely pronounce.
Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura.
It is a rare blood disorder (3-4 in 1 million people per year) that causes extensive microscopic clots to form in the small blood vessels throughout the body. In other words, my red blood cells were being shredded.
Fifty percent of TTP diagnosis is from unknown cause.
Prior to 1980, there was 90% mortality rate.
Thanks to advanced medicine, treatment today has changed that statistic to 80% SURVIVAL !
I spent 7 days in ICU and will miss at least 8 weeks of work. I travel to Duluth, MN for treatments.
My treatment has been plasmapheresis which is ridding my body of my damaged plasma and receiving donated fresh frozen plasma.
So thankful for plasma donors!
I would use the funds from this campaign to help offset medical bills and possible future treatments.
I am so thankful for anyones consideration of me.
Though my body is broken, my spirit soars.
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." JEREMIAH 29:11
