My best childhood friend, Lynne McClintock since I was 5, was diagnosed with MS in 2009. After years of failed treatments, surgeries, and progression with the horrific disease she is need of an upgraded wheelchair. Her current wheelchair not only is not electric, it weighs 74 lbs where she has self propelled with her legs and it is not an option anymore. The location of the lesions in her spinal cord are causing her legs to become more weak. All during this, her husband Johnnie, had an accident at work that caused an annular tear in his back and for the last four years has had failed surgeries and on disability. Add to this, their daughter Heather has a beautiful child born with cleft palate and chromosome issues that have caused many disabilities they are working through. They all live together and during this, Lynne has been able to maintain her job that she has had for years working in administration for orthopedic doctor's group in Seattle. Lynne's parents help immensely, and even drive out to her home to pick her up and take her to work several times a week. With the medical bills adding up, I am trying to raise money for the chair, it is called The Zinger (https://www.zingerchair.com/). It weighs 34 lbs, lays flat so it helps anyone that is assisting Lynne in/out of an automobile and getting her around. I am also hoping that the money will help offset medications and medical bills they have.
They would never ask for money and I thought this was the best way to make this happen for this amazing family. They have been through so much and continue to have such a positive outlook and really a big part of the community they are in. Any little bit helps and I am so thankful for all of you to support the Mc Clintock's. I want to see Lynne be able to enjoy life more by being able to get around more and be comfortable at work as well. She does such a good job taking care of her family and all the patients at work, she deserves this more than anyone I know. If you cannot donate, keep them in your prayers.
