Help Mama H's Fight with Leukemia

There are so many things my mom is looking forward to in 2019 and beyond. She had officially become a grandma on March 27th, to my niece Jaelyn Abigail. Right when that beautiful baby girl came into this world, there was no place my mom wanted to be other than around her granddaughter. Shortly after, my mom had my brother in law, my sister and the baby stay with her for 3 weeks - it was pure bliss. My mom loves being a mother, taking care of her own children and even others is something she genuinely enjoys. After the 3 weeks, my mom started to notice she didn't have any appetite, she feeling more tired than usual and started having low-grade fevers.A few days had past, and my mom decided to do her own blood test. On April 28th, my world flipped upside down after talking on the phone with her. My mom described how she had been feeling and along with the findings from her blood test results. She found that her red and white blood cell counts were low and found blast cells thay made up 20% of her blood which is a strong indicaton of leukemia. My immediate thoughts were, "I can't lose her too". Almost 6 years ago we lost my dad, her best friend and the love of her life to lung cancer. My mom is 64, with a year away from retirement and eventually will need some help. She has gone above and beyond for my sisters and I. I want to help her anyway I can and by launching this GoFundMe for me, it will help her with any ongoing out-of-pocket medical costs that will follow after she is discharged from the hospital.I pray that god continues to guide her and provide her with strength along with your help. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. -Leah
