Last month, our good friend, Lynn Crist (www.lynncristgolfacademy) took a very unfortunate fall landing on her left shoulder sustaining a posterior dislocation of her shoulder and a complex fracture of the humeral head. She required 6 hours of surgery to repair it and is now in a shoulder immobilizer unable to use her left arm. The injury occurred on a day that Lynn was graciously helping to raise money for breast cancer research by volunteering her time at our annual golf outing doing "Beat the Pro."
Lynn is a teaching golf professional and has taught high school and college athletes in California. Her teams won several state championships and she was named the California Jr. College Women's Golf Coach of the Year in 1999. She is currently the head pro at Hawkshead Golf Course in South Haven, Michigan.
Unfortunately, Lynn was between health insurances at the time of her accident, and her new insurance will not go into effect until January 2017. None of her medical bills will be covered until then. The money raised will go towards hospital and doctor bills, physical therapy, and living expenses. Her recovery will be lengthy and needless to say, her ability to earn a living by teaching golf is significantly impaired by this injury.
All money raised will go straight to Lynn to help pay her medical bills. Any money raised in excess of her needs will be donated to breast cancer research. Lynn is grateful to anyone who can help her in her time of need.
