Hi everyone, we are Lynn & Wes Whitesides. We have created a beautiful life together over the past years, with 7 children (Kaya 18, Taytum 13, Lily Jade 11, Amelia 8, Cruz 7, Lilly 5, and Knox 7mo). On Saturday 7/23, our family experienced tragedy and devastation when our family home was burnt down- completely destroyed by the Oak Fire on Jerseydale in Mariposa, Ca. We left with only the clothes we were wearing and our two dogs. Like most of our mountain community, we did not have fire insurance. Wes & I would never ask for our fellow friends & community for help or donations if it were not for our children. Our hearts are shattered for them. We lost everything we own- but more so our children lost everything and they can’t yet even start to understand why. We need to start repairing our family and put the pieces back together for them. Getting into a rental house, beds, clothes, shoes, blankets, school supplies, etc. From the bottom of our hearts, we appreciate all the love and kindness extended to us through this devastating time.
