Lynn Tait needs your help. Lynn is a 78 year old single woman with no living family. She is a retired RagaMuffin cat breeder, her cattery is Encore Too. Lynn had very little savings and was recently scammed through her debit card, out of every penny she had in her checking AND savings accounts. To make matters worse, the bank allowed the account to overdraw $1600. additional before her card was finally locked up. The bank is investigating the fraud, but it is not looking like she will get much of her funds back, as this happened over a couple months time, and she didn’t catch some of this in time until her account was completely drawn, and overdrawn. The bank also says it will likely be another 90 working days before she receives any type of resolution. In the meantime she was also behind in paying her rent, as she had it on auto-pay, but through some of these issues, they changed her debit card and she didn’t realize she needed to reset the payments, so she fell behind. The theft took all her rent money that had been in the account, so when she tried to pay and catch up, the check bounced, being that her accounts were now at zero. She has been served a demand letter for $3600. And she will lose her apartment in 3 weeks if she cannot pay this back rent. Lynn has no family and nowhere to go if she loses her apartment, and she now only has her social security check to live on monthly, as anything she had in the bank before is now gone. This account has been set up as an emergency appeal to help Lynn raise the $3600. So she can remain in her apartment. Without paying this bill, she will be left to live in her old car. Please help her in whatever amount you can. All funds raised will go directly to paying Lynn’s rent. Any additional funds (over the $3600.) will be used to help her pay other bills and give her a tiny bit of savings for expenses that exceed her small social security check each month. Thank you.
