My family, friends, and friends of friends'.
Our father and our best friend recently became life threateningly ill, and we need everyone to help us save a precious life while there is still hope.
To give a brief overview of what happened, I'll keep this short and to the point. Our father, Lynn Rosier was stricken with a 102 fever January 30th for a day and a half before being forced to go to the ICU on February 1st this year. After a variety of tests, it was determined he had Pneumonia and several infections, mostly affecting his lung functionality. Then ultimately lung failure. He's since been intubated, for breathing, eating and everything else you may imagine. He can't speak, coming to and falling away from consciousness. He's frustrated that no one understands him when he comes to, even with the whiteboard we purchased him, he can't communicate well at all.
- That's the micro version of what's been going on.
But friends, the reason I come to you today, is that he does not have insurance. No financial support for this endeavor. We are putting in all of our efforts to cover and take care of anything that we can. The bill is growing ever higher, and no matter what the amount grows to, we want our father back. Our best friend. To many of us, he's literally our everything. Always thinking only of his family Lynn has always used his money toward his children and grandchildren. Lynn is an amazing father, grandfather, and friend. He is the type of person who is always there when we need him, we only want to be able to help him as much as he has helped us. However after an unexpected ambulance ride and a transfer to a hospital that was better equipped to keep him with us, none of us were prepared for. The Hospital bill has grown. We are unsure as to the outcome of our fathers' treatment. We are also unsure as to how high this amount will grow to. We are unsure as to how soon we are required to address this bill. Every day is adding money, stress and frustration to our lives. As a last result we have turned to this to help with not only our stress but mainly our father's stress, so he can just focus on his health and getting back to us. Anything is appreciated. This is not a channel we would normally go through, however, it is at this point as necessary as ever. He now needs us to give back what’s he’s given most of us!
We are hoping he pulls through. If so, we are looking at two weeks of a hospital stay, which also means he’s not making money not being at work.
We’ve not received a bull for it all yet.. But the vague estimate of this stay, including constant care, sedation, antibiotics, life flight team movement to a secondary hospital, and many other stressors, etc... is looking to be around $200,000 - $250,000.
We will be looking at the application for funding from the hospital, but it will not take care of everything despite the efforts. The tears shed upon his unstable condition are drowning us. He may be my father, but he’s my best friend, and always has been.
