Lynn Nelson Medical Fund

Hello family and friends of the Nelson family,

On Sunday, August 30th my dad Lynn Nelson was run over by the tractor while hooking up a hay rake. It crushed the bones in his lower leg, crushed his sciatic nerve and tore off a large chunk of his leg skin. If it wasn't for our local first responders, we would have been attending his funeral. (Also, a quick sorry to the first responders for him colorfully telling you how to do your job.) He was flown via life flight from the field directly to Utah Valley Hospital, where the medical team was able to save his life. He has spent the last week in the ICU preparing for the amputation of his leg. Lynn had the amputation surgery on Monday, August 7. Everything went well and he is in pretty good spirits.

Lynn and Ann's home needs some TLC to get it ready for handicapped access. Please help us raise the funds needed for updates to their bathroom, and supplies needed to make the update happen. The icing on the cake would be to raise enough money to send Lynn and Ann on their 50th wedding anniversary trip that they will not be able to go on. They had saved for years to go on a river cruise on the Snake and Columbia Rivers. They were to leave on August 12, which they will miss out on because of the accident.

My dad loves his family, trains, weaving and his sheep. When asked who his favorite child is he says "The one I am currently with". He has quietly supported his community through his church service at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He has not so quietly worked on the farm with his older brothers, kids, nieces and nephews. With his brothers, he has supported the Southwest Livestock Show by donating time and lambs to support the cause.

Please give if you can and share the link. If you would like to donate directly to the cause, an account has been set up at the State Bank of Southern Utah, under "Lynn Nelson Medical Fund".

With Love,
