Lynn Higgins is an amazingly strong woman whos family needs some help and support.
In January 2017 Lynn spent 14 days in the hospital trying to control her blood pressure. Eventually she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Adrenal cancer. She had a 10 cm tumor removed along with her adrenal gland. She had tumors removed from her liver and main artery leading to her heart. She has nodules on her lungs that are being closely monitored. Adrenal Cancer is extremely rare, extremely aggressive and literally 1 in a million people world wide are diagnosed each year. Most doctors never see or treat this cancer and have no idea where to begin treatment.
The treatments for this cancer are very limited to one type or clinical trials. She must travel to Rochester many times a month for treatment and testing. She will be traveling to and from Michigan to seek opinions from specialists in the field of Adrenal Cancer. No local facilities have the capability of treating her.
She is permanently disabled and temporary disability is coming to an end soon. The family is facing shut off notices of essential utilities and scraping by just for gas money to get her to her treatments.
Lynn has a loving husband who is doing the best he can given the cards he has been dealt. She has two beautiful children and she should be able to spend her time with them and not have to worry if the electric and gas will stay on one more day!
Please help Lynn and her wonderful family so they can live as normal as possible while she fights this cancer and brings awareness to Adrenal. Cancer.. all proceeds go directly to Lynn and her family !!
