If you knew her, you loved her. She was an amazing woman, mother, nana, wife, sister, aunt and friend.

Mom has been sick with heart problems for a long time. She was tired of feeling sick. Her cardiologist suggested she go to Cleveland Clinic and stay for a few days for testing. Once mom got there October 15 and testing started we found out quickly just how sick mom was. All the answers were given to us. Radiation Heart Disease and it was extensive. This was from the radiation mom received nearly 54 years ago for Hodgkins Disease. Open heart surgery was planned and got rescheduled due to finding a lung nodule that was malignant. Mom decided to put off any treatment for the lung cancer and do the open heart surgery November 9th. Unfortunately her surgery and recovery was not what we had wished for. Mom put up one hell of a fight to get better but her body was tired and she passed away peacefully the afternoon of December 13th. We will be making funeral arrangements tomorrow, December 15th.
