Lynette Scott's Memorial
My name is Armanie, I am 18 years old and Lynette Scott was my mother.
On the night of June 14th, my mother had a seizure and stopped breathing. The paramedics tried doing CPR but didn't get a pulse for 30 minutes. She was then transferred to the hospital and they told us that she had a heart attack. They removed a huge blood clot in her artery and was very unstable. She had machines breathing for her and they had gotten her heart beating again but due to the excessive amount of CPR that was done, she was brain dead. She fought until the morning with the doctors doing everything that they could. We decided to let her go painlessly as her heart got slower and slower until she passed away with her loved ones around her.
I never thought I would have to go through this experience so suddenly. In just one day, the world asi had known it before was changed.. everything around me seems foreign and nothing will ever be the same.
My mother had been struggling with asthma her entire life and in her last years often times she would run out of breath just walking to her car and her legs would be swollen and painful.
Despite this she was full of life, still wanted to take her children everywhere and give them the best that she could. She tried hard to give us beautiful moments and always tried to save money to give us a memorable childhood.
My mother left behind her children Tyanna, Ashley, Chelsea, Gilbert, Jasmine, Armanie, Melvin and Miyah
and also four grandchildren Ella, Derek, Dominic and Sage along with a large extended and chosen family who loved her so deeply. Me and my siblings are left without a mother to help provide for any of us.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as we try to adjust to this sudden shift in our lives.
