Lyndsay’s Cancer Journey
Donation protected
The friends and family of Lyndsay Knorr are raising funds to help her with the financial burden as she goes through this difficult journey. Here’s Lyndsay’s story.
We called Lyndsay our miracle baby. In 1987, her parents, Lorraine and Darryl, were very surprised to welcome this beautiful baby girl. She was little sister to Curtis and Trisha and became the youngest cousin to a large Schan and Knorr family.
There was so much joy in Lyndsay’s early years. Sadly, when she was 3, her dad passed away.
But our Lyndsay went on to bring much love to her mom and our family as a big and little cousin, sweet sister, daughter, niece, granddaughter and step daughter to Gerald. In our small community she volunteered, worked as a lifeguard and excelled at Kerrobert Composite school; going on to eventually obtain her Masters in Psychology. She has been a delight to all who knew and know her.
Lyndsay’s gentle and kind nature has helped her hold onto lifelong friendships, build new ones, stay close to family and give her all to her clients in her profession. She has been beyond generous with her time and made a difference to many lives.
In early February 2024, Lyndsay received devastating news of a diagnosis of stage 4 cervical cancer. Doctors have said it is treatable but not curable. She has since learned that it has spread to her lymph nodes, right lung, adrenal glands and stomach. She will be starting chemotherapy treatments this week. She is currently scheduled to do 6 rounds.
Lyndsay’s treatments and care will take time away from her new business that she has been working so hard to build up.
We are asking for the people who know and love Lyndsay and whose lives she has impacted to help us make this difficult journey easier for her. She has focussed for so long on helping others and we want to help her now so that she can rest, heal and concentrate on herself.
Many have asked how they can help. We have set up a Go Fund Me page to help support Lyndsay as she works through her treatments in the coming months. All funds raised will be given directly to Lyndsay to lessen the financial aspects of this situation. Every dollar will help by providing healthy meals, necessary medication, rides to the cancer clinic, and ongoing care as needed.
Thank you for walking with Lyndsay through these difficult days. If you are not able to donate, please join us in praying for her healing.
